Some faction quests have base rewards as high as around 25 gold, meaning you can pretty quickly get very solid amounts on a daily basis.
New World gold is mostly gained from the Trading Post and selling to other players, as quests are a very bad way to get gold, but there is a huge 10x gold bonus to be had! The first 3 faction quests each 'day' will give you a very large bonus, multiplying the quest's gold rewards by a factor of ten. New World quests aren't a solid gold source, or really any good at all, but there is a poorly marked daily feature which will dramatically increase gold gains from one specific type of quest!
